Let’s add to traditional talk therapy.
MAKING SENSE OF PERSISTENT SYMPTOMS HELPS ALLEVIATE THEM.
Connect the experiences of your mind, body, and spirit for deep, long term healing.
RAPPORT, TRUST, AND GETTING TO THE ROOT OF ISSUES.
I believe in the value of traditional talk therapy. I also think that traditional western therapy sometimes relies too much on talking and focusses only on the brain. Expanding therapy to include wisdom that’s stored in the body and spirit can help you make meaning of persistent mental, emotional, and physical symptoms. Accessing the messages stored in the body can be the key to processing trauma, breaking patterns, and maintaining long term, healthy behaviours.
I’m trained in many different therapeutic approaches and have witnessed their impact on healing long term, persistent symptoms and pain. Please read below to learn more about the modalities I use with clients including Relationship Recovery Process (RRP), Trauma Regulation and Integration Process (TRIP), Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS).
Therapeutic Modalities and Approaches
-
Relationship Recovery Process (RRP) is an experiential, group therapy model that was developed by Amanda Curtin (LISCW) and popularized by Patrick Teahan (LICSW). I’m so fortunate to train with Amanda and attend regular trainings with Amanda and Patrick.
I use RRP activities and tools in individual, couples, intensives, and group work. RRP may be a great fit for you if you want to heal inner child trauma and attachment wounds and reclaim intimacy.
I have 4-6 weekly groups running at any given time and am often in the process of forming new RRP online groups for participants worldwide. I’m also open to forming an in-person group in Victoria, BC.

Trauma Regulation and Integration Process (TRIP) is an integrative treatment for PTSD and complex trauma. It incorporates all of the following therapeutic strategies in one modality: Eye-Brain Techniques; Parts Work; Emotion Focussed Strategies; Somatic Work; and Trauma Informed Attachment Work.
I received training from TRIP developer, Monique Hoving-Smeets (CCC & RCC), and have access to regular supervision with her. TRIP is an incredibly powerful trauma therapy model that offers deep, integrated healing for individuals and couples.
I’m one of few Canadian TRIP trained therapists and currently offer it online only.

Emotionally Focussed Therapy (EFT) is a humanistic, attachment based therapy model that can be used in individual, couples, and family contexts.
I’m also trained in Emotionally Focussed Couples Therapy (EFCT) which is one of the most commonly used approaches during Couples Intensives. It offers an opportunity for deep connection, assuming it’s a good fit for the client’s needs and goals.
